I really dig this Venice Burano Island painting by Canadian artist, Antonina Dunaeva. It’s oil on canvas and let me tell you, it is awesome! It is like a small portal to another world.

I love paintings that can take you to another place. This one takes us to an island just off of Italy. Venice Burano is historically famous for its Laces and coffee. The artist was particularly impressed by the colors of houses and a vast selection of souvenirs.

I’ve never been to Italy, but I feel like I’ve been a little closer.
