Klee and Kandinsky: Neighbors, Friends, Rivals, by Vivian Endicott Barnett (Author), Michael Baumgartner (Author), Annegret Hoberg (Author), Christine Hopfengart (Author)

I interviewed Dr, Vivian Endicott Barnett on the Marc & Macke episode  [episode 99] of my podcast!

Reading now & loving it! Well written & so interesting. Very creative.

I’ve had this book on my coffee table for years. It’s the perfect art resource. I’m still finding pieces I love!

 Great resource!

Very informative!

Got this for Christmas. Fantastic resource! Lays out notable artists from the stone age to now.

 Groundbreaking art.

 An invaluable resource for me.

Not a book, but so inspiring….& true!

>Great resource for all things dada!

The subject of John Singer Sargent’s most famous painting was twenty-three-year-old New Orleans Creole Virginie Gautreau, who moved to Paris and quickly became the “it girl” of her day. A relative unknown at the time, Sargent won the commission to paint her; the two must have recognized in each other a like-minded hunger for fame. Really great!!

by artist, Brian Rutenberg.

Very well-researched, engaging historical fiction about artist, James Tissot. Check out the chat with author, Lucy Paquette.
