I really dig this Shaking Structures X painting by American artist, Anna Jannack. It is oil on wood. This is a part of the Shaking Structures series, where she takes the squares where they want to go. This is a hybrid painting between the unconscious shapes.

She lets her hand draw shapes without thinking and fits the squares where she can around the shapes.

It’s a pretty cool look, structural, industrial, yet pleasant to look at.

She says, I usually find myself wrestling with the same issues of time, evanescence, memory…sometimes true and sometimes inaccurate. I often ask myself what is reality and often find myself avoiding it. I often retreat into a world of materials where I get lost in curiosity and possibilities
