I really dig this Maxwell Street painting by US artist, Darren Thompson. It’s oil on canvas and part of his Urban Landscapes series. He uses subdued colors and loose brushstrokes to create a sense of an urban setting.

I love how he creates a crowded composition with only a few brushstrokes. It’s what I like to call elegant simplicity. And to me, it says more than more detail ever could.
