I really digt his Straight Arrow painting by US artist, Darren Thompson. It is oil on wood. It reminds me of a Norman Rockwell painting!

The illustration is so real! It is a part of a series called Straight Arrows which has to do with music.

He says,

I use subdued colors and loose brush strokes, as in most of my paintings, in order to create the mood and feel of an urban setting. Art buyers may see a symbolic reference to prominent 20th century American painters like George Bellows, John Sloan, Isabell Bishop, and Edward Hopper. 

Darren also teaches children with special needs in the Chicago public schools.
