I really dig this Abstract #11 Painting, by American artist, Dennis Kaplan. The composition really jumped out at me. I love abstract works probably because you can create your own meaning from it.

On a personal note, I mistakenly got the idea that the title was America [I was looking at where he was from].

I really have no idea what inspired him, but once that got into my head, though, American landscapes began jumping out at me. The white thing in the middle looks like the capital.

Dennis began painting at age 60 as a means of curing his depression. I think it’s safe to say he raises other people’s spirits as well.
