I really dig this Dubling installation by Elida Tessler. First of all, I love James Joyce‘s Ulysses which the piece takes it’s inspiration from. Second, I love the history and the idea of whiskey [I don’t care to drink it, but I think it’s cool].
Actually, my boyfriend and I are in the process of launching an Irish whiskey brand of our own, which makes me dig this even more.
The installation consists of 4311 gerunds taken from Joyce’s Ulysses. It features 4311 bottles stopped by corks stamped with the verbs, as well as 4311 postcards printed with images of Dublin’s river Liffey.
Elida currently teaches in Brazil.
