I really dig this Feel painting by Pennsylvania artist, Elizabeth Becker. I love that when you zoom in it’s a series of splotches and marks, but when you zoom out it’s a perfectly rendered face!

I guess that’s really true of any painting. It might just be the specific nature of a watercolor painting [and certainly the nature of abstract expressionism], but it’s just cool to see strokes that out of context might look strange or out of place, but when they come together it makes a beautiful face or composition.
