I really dig this Painting With Light photograph by American artist Gar Benedick. It looks like streamers at a party. I love it because it looks almost painterly rather than a photograph. This is in the series The Lighter Side of Dark.

I am inspired by the notion that I can create calming, soothing, meditative art. I choose photography because it is the only capture medium that can shows the real world in an abstract way. In this work, I saw the remembrance of the passing of an object from its original use to a relic of the past. Real objects transformed into beautiful abstract art.
