I really dig this Waiting for a Recital painting by UK artist, Gavin Waldron. It’s a still-life acrylic on canvas.

First of all I love the composition. It’s just an eyecatching picture. Its a unique perspective. The title draws you in further; Who’s waiting for a recital? The piano? the flowers? The viewer?

The flowers are more prominent in the picture, so I assume he’s talking about them.

Gavin actually specializes in car portraits, but he does some really top notch landscapes, as well.
