I really dig this Stipple Red Drawing by South African artist, Greg Stock. I think it’s super cool how he does these great abstract pieces, but he also does these photo-realistic pieces as well.
This is a part of a series of kinetic drawings created using gel pens of different colors attached to bump and turn cars. This work is inspired by ideas surrounding theories of transitional objects and transitional space and the act of play as a form of therapy and the link between art as play and play as therapy.
I like this one best. It’s red. It reminds me of flowers. I thought the way he made these sounded so cool. I wanted to see it. So I Googled it. This is not Greg, but it’s an idea of how it’s done.
Greg is in the Saatchi gallery. He lives and works in South Africa. If you dig this as much as I do, here is my link to purchase.
