I really dig this Tropic Thunder painting by English artist, Izabella Hornung. It is acrylic, pencil and ink on paper. These tropical plants are a part of her botanical series. I don’t just love it because of the title, which made me immediately think of the movie.

I love the red sky, which gets darker in the background. I love it that the trees are blue….and I’m telling myself that the circle on the left, which is most likely a sun, is a lime slice. It just makes me happier.

She says she leaves it up to the viewers of her paintings to decide what they say.
