I really dig this Big Cumulus painting by Australian painter, Jessica Davidson. This is acrylic on paper. I love the fluffiness of cumulus clouds. It is a terrific glimpse of nature.
This seems to have a rougher texture…which I like. I also love how the cloud seems to touch the land, which it would seem you really could just get lost in the clouds. For some reason, it reminds me a bit of Monet’s Haystacks, just a little.
This painting just makes you want to reach out and touch it. The sky and the clouds seem inviting to the fingers….or at least the imagination.
Jessica has a graphic design and photography background. She’s done a lot of portraits and only recently discovered her love of landscapes. She is inspired by the Impressionists.
She says, My goal is to capture the beauty of nature that people often take for granted. I never lack inspiration when there’s beauty all around us and above us.
Jessica is in the Saatchi gallery. She lives and works in Sydney. If you dig this as much as I do, here is my link to purchase.
