I really dig this Peaceful Snow painting by U.S. artist, Joann Amitrano. It’s acrylic on paper. This abstract piece is so simple, yet so elegant. I love the green and I love, love, LOVE the texture!

My work is primarily born out of experimentation and a desire to express the way I see and feel my environment. Creating a dialogue between documentary and abstract in an ever changing landscape is quite stimulating as many spaces change daily, be it from the mood of the sky, construction, destruction or just a simple fresh coating of paint. To me there is something symbolic about the cycles I witness in city life and how it mirrors the life cycle in general.
