I really dig this Vila Sciarra, Roma painting by Canadian artist, Joyce Dunn. This is oil on paper and a very relaxing landscape scene, which is a little different from her usual abstract paintings.

Villa Sciarra is a park in Rome which is located on the Villa property.

Joyce says This is part of my oil on paper series. It’s a very relaxing painting. Lately I’ve been mixing all three primary colors together to get a dark color and from there I start to add more of one color. And then I will add some white. These colors are tones..they are not bright. These paintings tend to let the viewer to respond only to what is in front of them.
