I really dig this Direction painting by Julia Running. She does these really cool geometric paintings, but this one is kind of like a wash, which is supercool.

She says that while she was making this painting, she was making a major life decision. She was mulling over possible answers: yes, no, maybe, go here, go there, do this or that, reconsider, go back? When she finished the painting, she made the decision. So she associates this painting with her need to select a direction.

I think we are all looking for some sort of direction in life. I think this is the perfect compliment to that search.
