I really dig this Road Home painting by US artist, Kathleen McDermott. This is oil on mat board. I love the colors…the sky, especially. Its like buttah.

Kathleen loves hiking wilderness trails, taking pictures for reference of the “magical hours of dawn and dusk.” This is a product of one of those hikes.

She has been making art since she was in elementary school, taught by her mother. They had no TV, so her free time was spent creating art.
