I really dig this Traces of a Journey painting by Belgian artist, Linda Coppens. Its oil and wax on wood. Its an abstract landscape. I love the colors. I love the starkness.
Aesthetically, it’s very pleasing. I love the lavender against the red; Figuratively, I can totally see the traces of my journey….any sort of journey. All journeys leave traces.
Linda intentionally does this. She obscures any tangible point of reference, so the viewer discovers their own meaning in her work.
LInda is in the Saatchi gallery. She lives and works in Spain. If you dig this as much as I do, here is my link to purchase.
