I really dig this painting So Close To Magic by Linda O’Neill. In fact, this is her 4th featured painting, so I am a total fan!

I love the colors, the randomness of the composition. I especially like the title. So Close to Magic. By this she means that we are all so close to the magic of life if we keep ourselves open and honest.

Linda Paints with acrylics, incorporating collage, paint pen, oil pencil, caran d’ache and whatever else she can get her hands on. She works layer upon layer, often rotating the canvas as she goes until she’s happy with the progression. She lets go of critical thinking, letting her subconscious take charge.
