I am so digging this Ce qui me fait mal painting by LN Le Cheviller. First off, it looks cool. As you can probably tell, I really like the abstract stuff. Secondly, ce qui me fait mal is French for “what hurts me.” It is a series she made during a really painful disorder of the shoulder.

She says “I tried to extract it from my body by art,” which is a really great way to deal with pain. Creating something beautiful through your pain can, not only help you get through it, it sort of memorializes it when it’s over.

She says her “representation mode, is rather abstracted, it uses various languages and techniques to fill them with codes and contemporary problems.”
