I really dig this Space 22b painting by Spanish artist, Luis Medina. It’s acrylic on paper and it reminds me of geometry class. Actually it reminds me of art class when we learned perspective.
He does a lot of these pieces with geometric shapes, which is natural, I suppose as he is an industrial engineer.
He says, Sometimes they are geometric and others are closer to abstraction. It is the expression of color through minimalist compositions. I try to do “more with less”, and as always in my work it is an expression of feelings and sensations. I believe in a continuous evolution of the work, which is naturally caused by the fact that I get carried away by my own discoveries and feelings when I create it.
Luis is in the Saatchi gallery. He lives and works in Spain. If you dig this as much as I do, here is my link to purchase.
