I totally dig this photograph Habitat 7, by Micosch Holland….and no, it is not upside down. I mean, it is meant to be upside down. Don’t think I mistakenly put it upside down, even though it is something I could totally see myself doing. Cause I didn’t….Well, you know what I mean.
I love the dadaesque nature of this very modern piece. That, in fact, is the artist’s specialty. He like to combine varying found objects to create something new. He says “I aim at giving the hybrid sum of fragments a new life in a new context.”
It is a surrealist digital print that can be made into different sizes. It is #7 in a series of 10 editions. I don’t know, but I like to imagine that it is a series of 10 different habitats he’s lived in.
I dig found objects, because it’s like giving these things a new lease on life.’
Micosch lives and works in Germany. He is also a graphic designer, which he has won awards for.
If you dig this as much as I do, here is my link to purchase.
