I totally dig this! I can especially relate to it because that’s how my face looks right now. I fell down walking my dog yesterday. He has a few of these portraits, but I picked this one in particular because of the huge upper lip, which is totally me right now….and for the next few weeks, I’m afraid.

I just think it’s really neat how on one level it’s a mangled face, on another level it’s a beautiful abstract drawing….and at first glance it’s up to the viewer’s interpretation as to what it is.

You can bet that I will be drawing inspiration and consolation from this painting in the weeks ahead, though.
