I really dig this Cercles et Volumes painting by French artist Pierre-Yves Beltran. It is acrylic on thick Canson paper. I love the shapes, the colors. It is everything that I think abstract art should be.

I see a cloud, a face, boxes, a Micky Mouse ear, a non-linear collection of items…or they may not be any of these things. He seems to draw attention to the circles, but I see a lot of squares.

Pierre is in the Saatchi gallery. He lives and works in Aix en Provence [which is where Van Gogh lived]. If you dig this as much as I do, here is my link to purchase.
