Piet Mondrian, White Rose in a Glass

Piet Mondrian art

I really dig this White Rose in a Glass Painting by Piet Mondrian, 1921. This is done in watercolors. I love the bright complimentary colors. This is an example of Fauvism. [What Matisse was criticized for]. This is an early piece of his, much different from what I normally think of as Mondrian.

His work turned from figurative to geometric in his later years. I do like those, but I think I like this better.
