I really dig this Sullivan Street photograph by Susan Burger. I like it for several reasons: when you hear such a title, you might expect to see the whole street or maybe a particular landmark that is on that street, but this is the literal street! It’s awesome.

It’s so unexpected.

Her philosophy is simple: to look at familiar objects in new ways, capturing their essences with my camera. None of my photographs are staged; I’m interested in capturing fleeting moments that arise spontaneously, distilling an image that will outlast the subject.
