I really dig this Pies, Pies, Pies painting by Wayne Thiebaud. First of all, I LOVE pie. It’s my favorite dessert. The only thing I like better is a picture of many pies. Second, I love the simplicity. The Warhol-esque repetition pleases me. Though he does not like a Warhol comparison. He calls it his “production line paintings.” He does not consider himself a pop artist.

Wayne was an American painter who painted a lot of food and desserts. He’s a man after my own heart.

He is still alive and painting at 101 and lives in California.
