Hi Brooke, I finally tracked down our interview of February. But I also looked at your recent one with Alice Phillips and could not help but laugh somewhat histerically when I saw her referred to as an “exhibitionist”! I hope that is not accurate and can’t imagine that she would be very flattered by the reference. I hope there is time to correct. Keep trying. Sincerely, James Mundy
Thanks for the heads up. Out of embarrassment I scoured the Internet for examples of the word “exhibitionist” being used to refer to “a person who organizes exhibitions.” Alas, there are no such examples. So that I can continue to sleep well at night, I will claim that this faux pas simply adds to the charm of the interview, and believe that Alice will see this misstep in the same light…b
Enjoyed listening to your podcast. I am a female abstract painter with a studio practice in Washington, D. C.using many of the techniques and processes mentioned. My paintings range in size up to 9 feet. I would welcome an opportunity to introduce my work to you. Please inform me how I can forward representative images and support material. Thank-you in advance.

Brooke, Thanks for your immediate reply. I would welcome an opportunity to dialogue and send you representative samples of my work along with galleries and venues for reference. My Studio No: 202-803-2072;

Great post! I wasn’t familiar with this artist, but I like his work!
OhMyGosh…I love this so much! Not the pain and hopelessness, but the beauty…the sheer beauty that we miss, because we (I) don’t take the time to really look.
Thank you Brooke, for doing what you do. You just get better and better bringing beautiful artwork to our attention.
And this updated WordPress (just now paying attention) site is really slick. I hope to be writing again soon and may be re-joining the WordPress family.
By the way, I’ve been trying to set up a mobile hotspot for three days! Do you think Adam would be willing to give me some technical assistance? I’ve run aground!
Thanks! Susan

I really enjoyed hearing your conversation with Ursula today. Her philosophy and intuition surrounding her Art are refreshing in the ways that they have chartered her path. Thanks Brooke for bringing such amazing insights into the Art world!

Morning Brooke, This is one of your most educational interviews ever! Carole Morisseau’s artwork beautifully speaks to African-Brazilian history. Thank you Brooke!

Brooke: I taught Matt everything he knows. I’m his father! He is decidedly more talented than I in many ways, but I’ve learned that insanity is an inherited trait. You get it from your kids….Good interview; I enjoyed it very much. Thanks. –Jay Elzweig–
Thanks Jay! I really enjoyed the interview too. Matt is very talented…& he’s also ambitious. I’ve found that a good combination of ambition & insanity is what you need to succeed in life ;)…b
Hi, it was real fun reading your 3 reviews on my collages!! And yes I did look for my own name on google to find them! (Shame on me hehe) Thank you very much for taking the time.
I am currently on a fresh restart in a larger studio, with no more collapsing walls of books 🙂 but regular shelves. Since a few years I am more into drawings and paintings, but still collage is definitely part of my work. You can check some newer artworks on my new instagram @armandbrac (old one @armand_brac got hacked and I could not manage to get it back).

Picasso painted this piece in 1844 as an homage to Ingres’s Portrait of Madame Moitessier.
>>You might want to correct this…Picasso was not alive in 1844.
Hello Brooke, just a side note- the Sewell Gallery is closed down now, Kaput. I just realized that today. (from Mike the guy that does See OTTO)
