Episode 179: Today I chat with the host of the Entrepreneurs on Fire podcast, John Lee Dumas. Artists are entrepreneurs, so I thought he could share some great insights. I”m not really sure what I had originally intended to ask him, but I decided at the last minute to ask him about something i’m struggling with: getting into the CEO or Entrepreneur mindset and I’m really glad I did. Hopefully, you’ll find it as helpful as I did.
He’s also just released his new book, The Common Path to Uncommon Success, which is a modern day version of Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich, with a 17-step roadmap to financial freedom and fulfillment. There is a link at the bottom of the post to purchase.

We talk about idols, divas, researching a book without the internet, rejections…. Oh, and somehow, I get Woody Harrelson and Woody Allen confused. It is a truly inspirational chat.
Episode 176: Today I chat with Shahin Zonoozi who is an Austin-based artist. He was actually my first manager at Starbucks when I started years ago. He is now living a new life in Texas, making fabulous art. It was great catching up with him. He is such a refreshing personality and his art reflects it. We talk about selling Ferraris, his inspiration, living in different states, his process, and why he needs to get a website, among other things.

Episode 174: Today I chat with Tamar Avishai, the host of The Lonely Palette podcast, where she “returns art history to the masses, one painting at at time.” I really dig Tamar’s show, because it’s insightful, and she really has a way of making it interesting for non-artists. It was great to chat with her!
Episode 173: Today I catch up with Michael Frank of the Museum of BAD Art in Somerville, Maryland. Interesting sidenote, we were doing the interview while news was breaking of the Insurrection of the Capitol. Only later would I find out how bad it really was.
