I really dig this Homage to Klimt painting by South African artist, Yolanda Cottrell. I love seeing different artists’ inspirations and I am a huge Klimt fan.

She says the butterflies are reminiscent of her prior works. She added the Klimt pattern as an homage to her childhood hero. I love it that she borrows something from another artist, while still making it your own…. And it makes a pretty good composition.
