I totally dig this painting by Lou Ros! It’s called Petite fleur #9. It is airbrushed, which I honestly don’t know anything about. It reminds me of the floral paintings I used to like growing up, but with a bit of an edge. He’s another self-taught artist, which I find very inspiring.
Without having a clear idea of the final result, I stop my work before it seems finished. The moment where little is enough to suggest the structure interests me, leaving the spectator’s imagination open at the moment the scene is starting to appear. Knowing when to stop before saying too much is what I tried to do.
