I really dig this Portrait of a Cow painting by Mandy Racine. I picked it out, because the cow is making the same look my dog makes. As I looked at it more, I began to notice the Expressionist brushstrokes.
Mandy says that she is inspired by the Baroque Rococo era, which I love. Then it hit me, the reason I love it is because its a Rococo cow!
She says. I’m especially drawn to the composition, colors & fabrics and like to put my contemporary twist on it. Painting in a very expressive way, abstract elements are explored in these figurative subjects and the spaces in between.
Her work has been exhibited all over the UK and Europe and is in private collections all over the world. She lives and works in Spain.
