I really dig this 3992 Yellow Balandre seascape painting by Uruguayan artist, Andres Vivo. I’m not particularly a boat person, but the sky and the sea in this painting are like buddah.

I mean, the reflections of light in the water? Pure beauty with a real calming effect. This is inspired by the impressionist painters Turner, Boudin, Monet.

Balandres are old mediterranean french vessels.

“Painting the sea and sky provides me with the perfect excuse to express myself in my love of color and bold strokes. The abstract aspect of my paintings enables me to experiment and get lost in the imagery it evokes, while allowing the viewer to interpret the work through their own feelings and emotions. There is nothing shy about the sea nor in my work!”, says the artist.

Andres is in he Saatchi gallery. He lives and works in Montevideo, Uruguay. If you dig this as much as I do, here is my special link to purchase.
