I really dig this digital painting, or photograph, 7TTGW. [Side note: Doug does not use word as titles, intentionally. He doesn’t want to distract from emotion or thought immediately evoked by the art. He wishes the viewer to come up with his own inspiration.] I think that is super-cool. I know that I, for one, use the title as a crutch for understanding an artwork.

While I don’t think this is necessarily a bad thing, I think it’s interesting to let the viewer fend for themselves, so to speak. So here goes: I see a person that looks like they are climbing the side of a mountain. The green at the bottom could be water or grass. If it is water, the climbing would seem an act of desperation, whereas if it were grass, it might just be something fun to do on a nice day.

The possibilities are endless…
