I really dig this Butterfly Study painting by Pennsylvania artist, Elizabeth Becker. It’s watercolor on paper. It says its a study. She’s got a series of these.

I love how the paint bleeds. It almost looks like ink on paper, flecked with gold. I like it because it is so stark. Very minimalist. A great representation of nature.

Elizabeth is in the Saatchi gallery. She lives and works in Carlisle. If you dig this as much as I do, here is my link to purchase.
