I really dig this From Above 5 painting by UK artist, David O’Connor. It is acrylic on paper. This is inspired by a series he did in the nineties. It has an elegant simplicity to it.

He loves to do abstracted landscapes. He refers to the ones near Stonehenge, where he lives for inspiration. He is fascinated with mapmaking and that shows in his paintings.

At first glance, I thought these were combs, which I have to say intrigued me, but when I saw that it was a landscape…especially near Stonehenge, I thought it was much cooler.
