I really dig this Virginia landscape painting by Texas artist, Laduska York. This is acrylic on canvas and it’s beautiful.

It’s also close to life. I’ve driven through Virginia several times and seen scenery just like this.

I love how the landscape looks like it’s suspended in the sky…almost magical.

She says the painting depicts the peace in nature. Like gazing upon still waters whilst having a picnic under the trees. The predominant blue color is soothing and calming, while the cloudy sky over the row of trees offers a feeling of letting go…

Laduska is a versatile artist. She has abstract, vintage flowers, and landscapes. She likes mixing it up and she does all of them well.
