I really dig this We Can Build You mixed media on moleskine print by Louis Botha. I love the combination of images and text. I love that the composition and the colors make it look ancient, kind of like cave walls.

The title is intriguing. In that light, I can also see it as an architect or designer’s sketches, a sort of “pre-plan.” The notes they make while coming up with their design.

It is based on this poem, which Louis wrote.

We can build you
It is as much as I strive for, to create this cubic frame for breathing.
When I breathe, I am just breathing.
Whether or not anything else persists,
The question is meaningless.
I seal this, as much as it can be sealed.
