I really dig this Boats Sketch in Blue painting by Italian watercolorist, Maximilian D’ Amico. It’s watercolor on paper. It is a great picture of a seascape.

I totally see the movement of the water.I”m not even really a boat person. But this is just so super-real. It looks like a photograph. It is considered Impressionist, though.

He is a plein air painter. He observes city sidewalks and intersections, looking for not the most famous scenes but the most interesting
