I really dig this À la tombée du jour… painting, which translated means “WHEN THE SUN GOES DOWN….” by Oliver Messas.
I love it because at one glance it looks like paint splatters, another it looks like wheat or possibly grass and flowers. It is the Cote d’Azur in France. Part of a landscape and traveling series he started in 2019 to highlight landscapes from here and elsewhere, flowering landscapes between dream and reality… When memories make you feel good.
Oliver lived between Paris in France and Karlsruhe in Germany. He says my life, like my paintings, are a mirror of my journeys and imaginations.
