I really dig this Celestial Elephants painting that Salvador Dali did in 1979. I guess I am in a Dali-mood from yesterday’s Coup de Coeur, but you have to admit that this is fab.

Salvador actually owned an elephant named Susurrus, which he kept at the Barcelona Zoo. Susurrus would inspire several paintings, including this one. I just found out that Susurrus means a low, soft sound as of whispering or muttering or a quiet wind. How cool is that?
