I really dig this The Rest 2 painting by Sangeeta Pathak. It is haunting to look at and I liked it even more when I read the title and description, I was in love!

She was inspired when she found out that ants never sleep [I didn’t know that either]. She wanted to keep that theme but correlate it to elderly people. She says that a takeaway from her work is that we should be active in our old age as well.

It is mix-media on canvas; pencil, pen and ink, oil pastels and acrylic colors to be exact.
