Seby Augustine

seby augustine art for sale

I really dig this Paddy Field painting by Seby Autustine. It’s a super-realist painting, which is totally amazing. At first I thought it was Irish, because…you know, St. Paddy’s. But I looked it up and, it turns out that a paddy field is a moist field, predominantly in Asia that is used for growing wet things like rice or taro.

I had no idea that there was such a thing! Mind blown.

Seby says, Nature is in a constant motion and it keeps evolving every moment. This moment is the beauty of its soul and when this motion expresses its feelings through the spectrum of colors, it creates a treat for your eyes.
He looked at those colors during the day and later dreamed about them in the night. He looked at the stars, connected them with invisible lines and formed shapes he knew, he saw geometric shapes in everything and everywhere. And on another day he drew those shapes on rock and filled them with the colors of nature.
He might not be able to explain these shapes to everyone, but one thing is for sure, they are directly from his heart and expressions of his soul.

Seby is in the Saatchi gallery. He lives and works in India. If you dig this as much as i do, here is my link to purchase.
