I really dig this Single Whip Drawing by Irish artist, Susan Walsh. Its charcoal on paper. It is stark, it is simple. I love the abstract layout and composition.

If it weren’t for the title, I might not even notice the little whip in the bottom corner. Not sure. what the story is behind it, but it just adds to the intrigue.

I had never thought about whip birds before… but interesting fact: they are monogamous. Also, the male whip takes an active role in raising and rearing the young.
