I really dig this Greek Island painting by Indian artist Vinay Barbar. It is an original oil on canvas painting. It really pleases my geometric sensibilities. I should probably clarify…I was horrible in geometry…but I really like geometry in design. Just as long as I don’t have to do any proofs or calculating.

It was inspired by a trip to Greece. Vinay says, We had visited Greece on a cruise and it has fantastic memories. I was particularly fascinated by the holiday atmosphere every where and the freshly painted houses, as if they were painted just for us. This landscape has an interesting perspective, we are looking at the houses from down below, from eye level as well as from above. Interesting subject, the full moon was added just for fun.
