I really dig this Cloud Study painting by art legend, John Constable. He did this in 1821. Constable is famous for his smooth, like buttah landscapes that probably are a bit dated. But this, this is top notch. This seems way more modern and ahead of it’s time. A bit more abstract than I’m used to from Constable.

When I was growing up, I would wager to say that many houses had some sort of Constable print in it. They always seemed like memories of my grandparents’ good times. He is WAY talented, without a doubt. I’m glad to find something that our generation can enjoy.
