Stephanie Neely: Still

Episode 203: Today I talk to Charlotte artist, Stephanie Neely whose show Still, I went to this past weekend at the Anne Neilson Gallery. It was snowing outside, but there is definitely light and inspiration in this exhibition. It runs through Feb. 26th, 2022.

Stephanie has had multiple careers, seemingly disjointed: Law…horticulture…kingdom ministry. It is so refreshing how she connects them all seamlessly.

7 White Roses is a study of Still. If you look closely, you will notice that they are the same.

My chat with Ronald Klip about Art and the Bible

Episode 202: Today I talk to web designer, Ronald Klip…all the way in Amsterdam!!!! I recently found his website, Art and the Bible. We talk about why the Bible is important in Western culture, in particular and the process of compiling and the need for art in learning.

p.s. Ronald emailed me after our chat, saying he hoped his “broken english” came across ok. I think it did, for sure. I probably have more “broken english” than he does. šŸ˜‰ We kept losing our connection [darn Zoom], but he was awesome!…b

My chat with Pop Artist, Martin Kreloff

Episode 201: Today I talk with artist, and teacher, Martin Kreloff. He is classically trained, but he found his niche in Pop Art. He’s been doing it for over 40 years, and can be credited with bringing Pop Art to Miami. He has painted many stars, including several 20th century ones like Cary Grant, Estelle Getty, Joan Crawford and Esther Williams [who have his pieces included in their collections]

I was particularly excited to see this one of Esther Williams, whose film Dangerous When Wet, I saw at the Fox Theater in St. Louis. [I called it Slippery When Wet in the interview…oops].
